In short: you type your budget in yourself; there’s no bank connection. Your budget is stored with Google Firebase so it syncs between your household’s iPhones and iPads. It’s never sold, never used for ads, and you can export it or delete it from the app at any time.

Who we are

Simple Budget Planner is made by Mehmet Çetin (“I”, “we”), the data controller for the app and this website. Contact: [email protected].

We don’t collect your bank details, your precise (GPS) location, your contacts or your photos. Face ID, if you turn on “Lock with Face ID”, is handled by iOS on your iPhone or iPad; the app never sees your face data. Purchases are made through Apple; we don’t receive your payment details, and the app checks your subscription with Apple on your device. The widget reads a short summary (what’s left this period) that the app keeps on your device; it isn’t sent anywhere.

No tracking, no ads, nothing sold

The app doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites, shows no ads, and doesn’t use the advertising identifier. We don’t sell or rent your data and don’t share it with data brokers.

Sharing your budget

When you share your budget with a code, everyone who joins can see and change it. If you join someone else’s budget, the entries already on your device are kept separately and come back if you stop sharing.

Legal basis (UK and EU)

We store and sync your budget and email to provide the app you asked for (contract). We use usage analytics and crash reports to keep the app working and improve it (legitimate interests); they record what was used, not what you entered.

Where it’s stored and for how long

Firebase and Mixpanel store data on servers that may be outside your country, including in the United States, under the providers’ standard data protection terms. Your budget is kept for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your budget and account are deleted from Firebase. Analytics and crash data are kept for the providers’ standard retention period; email us and we’ll delete your analytics profile too.

Your choices and rights

Children

The app isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we’ll delete it.
