Terms of use

Last updated 30 October 2026

These terms apply to the Simple Budget Planner app (“the app”) made by Mehmet Çetin (“I”, “we”). By downloading or using the app you agree to them and, on iPhone and iPad, to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, or on Android, to the Google Play Terms of Service. Where these terms and Apple’s or Google’s differ, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.

The app

The app helps you keep a budget that you enter yourself. It’s a record-keeping tool, not financial advice: decisions you make with it are yours. We work to keep it accurate and available but can’t promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Some features, such as syncing and sharing, need an internet connection, and your mobile provider’s data charges may apply.

Your data and shared budgets

Your budget belongs to you. How it’s handled is described in the privacy policy. If you share your budget with a code, anyone with the code can join, see and change it until you stop sharing, so only send it to people you trust. Keep your phone and your email account secure.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the app or its servers: no attempts to access other people’s budgets, to disrupt the service, or to copy, reverse-engineer or resell the app except where the law allows it.

Changes and ending

We may update the app or these terms. If the terms change, the new version is posted here with a new date. We may stop offering the app; if we do, we’ll give reasonable notice where we can so you can export your data. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Household → Settings.

Liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made using the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.
